They are delicious, hot and tasty and fresh off the grill. Time to get your annual fix of chicken livers at the Rotary Booth at the Acton Fair. (If you hate liver, there is wonderful Shaker Pond Ice Cream next door at the Rotary Youth Ice Cream Booth). Don't miss out!

Our Rotarians (and young helpers) busy serving Mamma Mia dinners on Friday evenings at York County Shelters.

Please be sure to open your June Rotarian magazine to read this article about Elias and his India catchment dam work on page 11. We are so proud of your work and the fact that you are a member of our club.

Our club awarded 11 scholarships to students from Sanford and Massabesic High Schools for a total of $14,000. Parents and recipients enjoyed breakfast and the presentation of scholarships conducted by the Scholarship Committee.

As Elias Thomas put it during the Foundation moment on Thursday morning, Rotary is indeed the connector that brings individuals together to do good work, whether it is the Michigan sock guy, (PDG classmate of Elias' from 20 years ago) donating hundreds of pairs of socks recently or the international "dream team" that will construct another catchment dam in India in a few weeks. RI is the connector that makes good things happen.

Elias presented a check for $10,000 from the National Association of Realtors "Good Neighbor Award" to President John. The monies will be used to fund future water catchment dam projects in India.
Sanford-Springvale Rotarian Elias Thomas was recently chosen to receive the National Association of Realtors "Good Neighbor Award" which is a program that honors realtors who make an extraordinary impact though volunteer work. Elias is one of five realtors chosen from hundreds of nominations throughout the U.S. As a winner, the NAR will donate $10,000 to the charity of Elias' choice which will, of course, be Rotary International. These monies will be used to fund future global grants - building catchment dams in water-starved sections of Rajasthan, India. Elias has organized and led global grant projects in India annually since 2001. To see his full story in REALTOR magazine, click here.

Allen Lampert and Gwen Bedell took these Rotarians on a tour of the almost-finished new Sanford High School. So impressive!
