Camp Sebago has been a cornerstone of The Salvation Army's camping ministry since 1957, when Brigadier John Baggs raised $45,000 to purchase the property, officially dedicating and opening it as Camp Sebago on July 12th, 1958. Each summer, the camp welcomes campers from across Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire, serving up to 660 campers over six weeks — with this year's capacity at 330 due to ongoing cabin renovations. The Sanford corps alone is sending 22 campers this summer, reflecting the strong community connection that has defined Camp Sebago for nearly 70 years. The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help with a camp clean-up day, and they'd love to have your support in preparing the grounds for another great season. Come for a few hours or stay for the whole day. Food to be provided for everyone that joins! |

Together, we will tackle clean-up around St. Thomas School, Holy Family Church, and the neighboring streets. We will be joining forces with St. Thomas School, SHS Interact Club, Pete Tranchemontagne, and Cheeny Plante. Last year's event was very successful and we look forward to doing it again this year! |
