Sanford-Springvale Rotary Hosts Inaugural Stakeholder Appreciation Night at Sanford Mainers Game
SANFORD, ME — July 26, 2025 — The Sanford-Springvale Rotary Club proudly held it’s first-ever Stakeholder Appreciation Night at the Sanford Mainers baseball game at Goodall Park on Friday, July 25th. The special evening was created to recognize and celebrate the individuals and organizations that have supported, partnered with, or benefited from the Club’s work over the past year.
Guests of honor included a diverse group of community stakeholders—ranging from guest speakers at weekly Rotary meetings, local business partners, and Rotarians from neighboring clubs, to District 7780 leadership. The evening also spotlighted young people in the community, including Rotary college scholarship recipients, Sanford Regional Technical Center Students of the Year, Rotary Youth Leadership Award attendees, and the Acton Elementary School’s Olympics of the Mind team, which proudly represented the region at a national competition in Michigan earlier this year.
Despite the looming threat of thunderstorms, the night’s festivities went off without a hitch. The game proceeded as planned, with the Sanford Mainers delivering a 2–0 win over the Vermont Mountaineers—an exciting backdrop for a night filled with gratitude and community spirit.
“Our club has been deeply impacted and inspired by the individuals and organizations we welcomed tonight,” said Rotary spokesperson Mark Yerkes. “This night was about showing our appreciation and strengthening the bonds that make our service possible.”
